Afroza Sultana Saleh takes office as the 28th Senior Finance Controller, Defence Purchase (SFC, DP) on 03 April 2022.

Prior to this appointment, she served as Senior Finance Controller (SFC) Navy at Controller General Defence Finance (CGDF).

Afroza Sultana Saleh was born on 19th November, 1971 in a respected Muslim family. After completing Higher Secondary Certificate Exam from Holy Cross College in science background, got herself admitted in the University of Dhaka in the Faculty of Social Science. She completed her Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) and Master of Social Science (MSS) degree in “International Relations” in 1991 and 1995 respectively. In 2010, Ms. Afroza completed LLM/Master of Laws in “Comparative Studies of Politics and Administration (CSPA) from Kyushu University, Japan.

She started her career in 1999 as a member of 18th Batch of BCS Audit and Accounts Cadre. During her career in civil service, she served in various important offices starting from Foreign Aided Projects Audit Directorate (Assistant Director), then in Ministry of Information (Asst. Chief Accounts Officer), Defense Audit Directorate (Deputy Director), Commercial Audit Director, Rajshahi (Deputy Director), Commercial Audit Directorate (Deputy Director), National Parliament Secretariate (Chief Accounts Officer/CAO), Ministry of Public Administration (CAO), Ministry of Telegraph and Telephone (CAO), Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (CAO), Mission Audit Directorate (Director), Pension and Fund Management (CAO) and ADG (Finance) Railway (Director).

As part of sharpening the Excellency of civil service members, Ms. Afroza participated in various seminar, workshop and conferences, Notable is-
-International Seminar on ‘Role of SAI as an Institution of Accountability’ from 26-27 October 2015, Dhaka.
-International Conference on “Promoting Financial Accountability in Managing Funds Related to Tsunami, Conflict and Other Disasters” in April 2005, Indonesia.
-ASOSAI Workshop on “Performance Audit of a Revenue Agency” from 08-19 December 2003, Pakistan.
-International Conference on ‘Improving Oversight Functions Challenges in the new Millennium’ in 2000, Dhaka.

Ms. Afroza visited many countries like UK, USA, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Mauritius, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Lebanon, India and Pakistan for different purposes.

She is blessed with one son. She loves to spend her leisure time listening to music, reading thrillers and novels and travelling.
