Mr. Dhruva Kumar is head of Curriculum for Marine Engineering at Scotland's largest Super College, leading educational strategists in Autonomous Shipping, and academician of higher education participated in the UK West Minister warship building enquiry.
He specialized in organization and governance, and tertiary maritime engineering education and skills, equipped with a wealth of industry and educational teaching and management experience. His deep research includes a study of international education transition and skills across the UK and worldwide skills development to support a framework for the upcoming automation and innovation theory that links working, living and learning to promote inclusive educational, social and economic growth within education and industry.
He also works with regulator bodies like SQA, Ofqual, MCA for qualification and system verification for many marine engineering-related programmes. He is responsible for the education and training of one-third of the UK’s young workforce in the marine engineering sector. Before joining the education sector 8 years ago, he spent 5 years with the various engineering sectors.
